Getting to Wittenburg was a fairly uneventful ride, mostly countryside riding on small two lane roads, a couple of little villages here and there, and one fuck all of a wet storm. Of course. I can say that one thing we probably should have spent more money on for this trip was some good rain gear. Our stuff was 'water proof' but I would say more like 'water proof until you're stuck in the crap for more than 2 minutes'. Riding all day, upwards of 50 or more miles, you arrive tired and hungry, and having to set up camp with squishy wet shoes in rain, is no fun. We could still appreciate the beauty, and for the most part, all we could do is laugh because bitching was pointless.

Yes, we rode through that lovely storm with horizontal rain. |

But we had a sweet little spot with some tree shelter, a cute kitty, and a butt load of earwigs |
The day we set forth from Wittenburg we were graced with some nice weather. We had some morning pastries, coffee, and enjoyed a few quiet moments amongst the cobblestone streets before taking off on a 60-ish mile ride to Pottsdam. From there, eager to get to Berlin, we hopped on a train to cover the final 50 or so miles. We didn't get to spend time in Pottsdam but if you get a chance to visit Germany, and we might again, I suggest checking it out. It's stunning
