Valiko Gradiste to Bucharest

One of the owners of the camp offered to drive to town while we followed so she could show us where the bus station was.
That's her car. She drove slow so we could keep up. Then she stopped when we passed her house and asked if we would like to go inside for tea. We declined because the offer just seemed to generous and we felt guilty.

The bus didn't quite work out in the last town so we rode about 20 kilometers to another bus station.

We were told the bus would arrive in 15-30 minutes but it turned out to be about a three-hour wait.

Some castle on the Danube that the bus is about to drive through.

The Danube on the Slovakia-Romania border.

We got dropped off by the bus and then we rode across the border and then about 15km into Drobeta Serverin,  Romania.

No photos of the crazy overnight train we took because we were too tired. We met this guy, Ervin, on the train who helped us with our bikes and then offered to show us the way to a hostel in Bucharest. Such a great guy that Ervin.
