A few Sarajevo photos from almost a month ago

Looking out the window of our room at the hostel.

A monument to the over 1500 children killed during the siege of Sarajevo. The glass sculpture represents a mother trying to shield her child from harm's way. The metal pool was made from some of the projectiles and shrapnel collected in Sarajevo.

This was the first time we had seen peanut butter in over a month. It's the little things that can sometimes make a big difference.

We're still not sure what fruit this is but the jam was great.

I'm pretty sure everyone here but us was chain smoking. We drank our beers as quickly as possible to get back outside where we could breath.
