The next day was kind of a rough one for us. We got a bit lost, as you're bound to do from time to time when you've no GPS and rely too much on the modern convenience of your smart phone. At points like this, it's hard to fully appreciate how beautiful the countryside is when your new wife is cranky about the unexpected kilometers and fear of bug bites. Alas, in the end we found our way and even got an impromptu cycling guide to lead us to our campground.

Karlsruhe Palace |
Karlsruhe is a beauty of a city near the France border. It gets a bit confusing getting out of it's limits on bicycle(unless you know your way, then I assume it's easy as pie) but the city seems to be pretty bike friendly with boulevards and bike lanes aplenty. Once we found our way, with a little help from a local bike shop, we were able to find the bike route with ease and before we knew it we were in France without our knowledge.
