There was a decent amount of riding from Vienna to Brno and by the time we got there we opted to hop on a train to cover the rest of the distance to Prague. We were eager to get to some familiarity as we were staying with a friend's parents. The thought of a home with meals was calling to us.
Brno was very pretty, full of old buildings and history, like so much of Europe, and very small. I would say two full days would be ample time to see the most visited sites. We had the misfortune of getting lost looking for the campground but fell upon a Pension in a canyon. It was a bit pricey but exhaustion won us over and we had a lovely room with a bed, a washer, and Doctor Zhivago in another language.
The catacombs aren't free and they're small for the price but they're still worth a visit. There is enough English speaking visitors there for pamphlets and audio tours. They had some well preserved mummies in their digs. It was rad
Apparently priests would have their funeral complete with a coffin for viewing but as soon as it was over they would carry the coffin to the catacombs, slide open the bottom and there the dudes would fall out to their final resting place. It was a hefty price tag in those times to be buried in a coffin and your own tomb. Some of the priests still had remnants of their hooded cloaks and cord belts.

The second day we opted to ride further into the surrounding hills to find the ill sought out campground from the day before. Instead of a tent, we upgraded to a 'cabin' for Greg's birthday. Now, let me say this, upon first entering this campground and our cabin, I didn't want to touch anything. I also expected a man in a hockey mask to hack me to shreds with his machete. But in the end, it was a pretty cool place, it just needed some fresh paint.
