Budapest to Vienna, the long journey

A four day journey of some sun, freak hail, rain, and one day logging over 130km, we rolled through 3 countries and into Vienna

I was not too stoked to leave Budapest

Our day started off with nice pretty paths like this...
And ended up on shit like this.

A lovely lunch spot

Visegard
Small church but biggest building in Domos
across the river from our camp there were some caves up on a hill. Apparently there are a lot of caves in Slovakia

The Day we set off from Domos, (a very tiny town with a wee tiny population) we were greeted with beautiful clear blue skies and warm weather. Throughout the day though, we could see the clouds rolling in and before we new it we were stuck in torrential downpours and a healthy dose of hail.

Esztergom Basilica
Esztergom Hungary

This was a point where it was slowing down
Once we landed at our campground in Komarom (home of three fortified forts) on the second day the rain stopped, we dried off, and went for a walk.
One of 3 fortified forts
And a casino complete with gas station and beauty supply store

More pretty paths...
More shit. Albeit pretty, but the spider bites, not so much
Gotta love it

Rolled through Gyor and there we got a bit lost, as the trail gets a bit confusing. The old part of the city is lovely though

This was a "campground" at someone's house in Asvanyraro, complete with showers and a nice creek running through it. It even came with a welcome shot of alcohol from owners. Nice people
Love the three modes of transportation in this shot
It seemed on this trip that we were constantly going in the wrong direction of the usual flow the the Euro6 route. So when we encountered this race/ride, everyone waved and we felt like salmon
But Hungry's countryside was stunning
Stopped at the boarder to watch some paintball

A party of Brits performing horribly on the field
Bratislava

At this point, we had made it to Austria

History is everywhere

Austria has some beautiful countrysides
and lovely paths
And chruches
This was around the 100km mark of the day. Notice he looks fine and I look like hell
By the time we reached the boarders of Vienna, we had a hell of a time finding any wifi to search for campgrounds, and no one seem to know what we were talking about. After roaming around for awhile we ended up in a hostel that was about 27euro per person for a 20 person dorm. Did I mention it was at the top of a very tall hill at the end of a 130km+ day? Wasn't a good start for Vienna's like-ability. Also to note, the campground was across the street from us when we were asking people, but it was hidden in trees so we physically couldn't see it. I guess we were asking the wrong people.
