Countdown to March 27th with a practice camping trip

We rode to Samuel P Taylor State Park on Sunday, February 19th with Daniel Vigil for an overnight test run. Dan will be joining us in Italy for the first three weeks of our trip at the end of March.

Lessons learned:

1.  Enchiladas for lunch become much more expensive if you accidentally step on a drip system hose on the way out of and they want $50 to repair it - Dan

2. You will fall over if you lose momentum on a hill, come to a stop, and can't unclip in time - Mel

3.  Raccoons will rip a hole in your tent if you leave even the tiniest bit of food there - Greg

Cross Marin Trail with Dan and Mel

I believe Dan said something about liking astronaut food.

Roughing it?

We met a few others who had also biked to Samuel P Taylor.

Mel's looking a little tired after 75 miles of riding in two days.
